eBay is a good example for online shopping and online auctioning, it maintains a good security and online privacy. Users can use eBay to buy and sell variety of products, such as books, magazines, computers, watches, mobile phones and so on. Sellers can sell things that they no longer needed and buyers can purchase them with cheaper prices. A comprehensive description of the influences that internet creates are also brought into account. Although the information covers are simple, yet precise. It facilitates readers to gain basic knowledge of legacy and ethics issues in addition to problems it conveys in future on internet.

Royport and Jaworski cover detailed and relevant information base on regulations regarding internet network. Virus protection, standards selection, trademarks of Internet names and addresses, network-based business transactions and other legal issues such as intellectual property protection and contracts are discussed in Chapter 16 relatively comprehensive. Governments around the world should assume a more active role in the evolution of internet network as the government regulations has encountered new challenges with the emergence of the internet. The increase of globalization in internet network has forced government to examine and enforce their current laws to protect users. Therefore, the main regulation issues and problems brought by the internet are outlined in this chapter. Royport and Jaworski attempt to tackle the legacy issue of the internet by focusing on the United States and Europe governments cooperate to resolve problems created by simultaneous and independent decision making by internet concerning legal, security or regulatory matters.

The author also compares different forms of money: “real world cash� and “e-money�and also discusses about the payment security. The author suggests that real world cash still remains the most widely used payments due to its unique features, for example convenience, wide acceptance, anonymity, no hidden or other cost of use, no audit trail etc. Meantime, the author also points out the unbreakable trend of e-money, due to the increasing usage of the internet and the growing and maturing of e-business. The author also introduced 4 types of e-money: identified and online, identified and offline, anonymous and online, anonymous and offline. Two distinct sets of properties, which are the ACID and ICES tests, are also investigated. Four major models of e-payments are electronic currency, credit cards, debit cards and smart cards. The chapter then discusses the future possibilities of e-payments, giving the topic more and more aspects to discover.

All those transactions information should be kept safely from indiscretion by making it unreadable and difficult to decode. The digital payments and digital money are the 20th century invention which benefits people a lot on paying bills, transferring money or buying stuff online with a lot more convenience, however the security issues is important to be concerned and accomplished to allow people to use it without any worries on the safety problems.

This is because online fraud becomes an major problem to the adoption of online shoping in the public. Due to that reason, the author provides an overview and also a short introduction of this negative issue, such as giving an explanation on the outcomes of this issue and providing some credible studies to expound his statement. On the other hand, the author also provides an overview of anti-fraud in public recent years, such as providing some anti-fraud products information. Author's final thought is very important in this article, he looks forward on the second-generation solution in marketplace.

The journal quotes the trend of the increasing on online shopping as arithmetically in recent consecutive years. The author also discusses the impact of the big trend causes- the legal and ethics issues on the net, which includes the financial privacy, shipping details etc. The Journal facilitates readers to understand more on the operation of online auction as well as determine the reputable of the online seller.

Chap14 and Chap15 provide an overview of payment acceptance and processing. They explain the concept of the merchant account and compare different forms of payment such as CyberCash, InfoDial, Visa and Mastercard. Both chapters will concentrated on credit card payment because most people don't want go through the process of getting a money order. They are prefered to put the purchase on a credit card and get it over with. Due to the secure transfer of credit card information is an issue that has been addressed over the years, the authors attempt to give a brief of Secure Electronic Transation (SET). Both chapters are very important and quite useful for those people who are involved in online shopping. This is because both chapters teach sellers and buyers how to use Digital Certificates, Digital Signature and Public Key to identify and prevent crime. Besides, they also teach sellers how to regconize suspicious customer behavior and how credit card fraud affect them.
